Hardwood

Hardwood floors are flooring surfaces made from real wood. They are known for their durability, timeless appearance, and the warmth they bring to a space. Hardwood flooring can be crafted from a variety of hardwood species, including oak, maple, cherry, and walnut, among others.

There are two main types of hardwood flooring: solid hardwood and engineered hardwood.

Solid Hardwood:

  • Solid hardwood floors are made from a single, solid piece of wood.
  • They are typically thicker and can be sanded and refinished multiple times, allowing for a longer lifespan.
  • Solid hardwood is sensitive to changes in humidity, so it may not be suitable for areas with high moisture levels, such as basements.

Engineered Hardwood:

  • Engineered hardwood consists of multiple layers of wood veneer stacked and glued together.
  • The top layer is a thin slice of real hardwood, providing the authentic look of solid hardwood.
  • Engineered hardwood is more stable than solid hardwood and is less prone to expansion and contraction due to changes in humidity. This makes it suitable for a wider range of environments, including basements.

Hardwood floors are popular in residential and commercial settings alike, and they come in various styles, finishes, and wood species to suit different preferences and interior designs. While hardwood floors are an attractive and durable option, they do require proper care and maintenance to preserve their appearance and longevity. Regular cleaning, avoiding excessive moisture, and using protective pads on furniture are common practices to ensure the longevity of hardwood floors.

Brushed

Brushed hardwood floors redefine elegance with their textured allure, elevating interior spaces to new levels of sophistication. The meticulous brushing process enhances the natural grain of the wood, creating a surface that is not only visually captivating but also tactually rich. The subtle undulations and open pores of brushed hardwood add a distinctive character, striking a perfect balance between rustic charm and contemporary refinement. This flooring option not only showcases the inherent beauty of the wood but also invites a unique sensory experience.

Natural look

A natural look epitomize timeless sophistication, effortlessly bringing the warmth and authenticity of nature into interior spaces. Characterized by distinct grain patterns, knots, and a diverse color palette, these floors showcase the inherent beauty of the wood. The subtle variations in tone, from lighter sapwood to deeper heartwood, create a dynamic and visually appealing surface. Finished with clear coatings in matte or satin, natural look hardwood floors maintain a genuine appearance while providing durability.

Aged

An aging hardwood floor imparts a unique and captivating character, embodying the passage of time with grace. Evoking a weathered allure, this flooring option gracefully embraces the natural aging process, developing a distinctive patina marked by subtle imperfections and softened hues. Whether achieved through deliberate distressing techniques or the authentic wear and tear of everyday life, the aged hardwood floor narrates a story of resilience and enduring beauty.

Smoked

Smoked hardwood floors exude a distinctive charm, transforming spaces with a rich, nuanced character. Through a meticulous smoking process, the wood takes on a deep, smoky hue, enhancing its natural grain and creating a floor that emanates warmth and sophistication. These smoked boards bring a touch of vintage allure, evoking a sense of timeless elegance and cozy ambiance.
